&nb= sp; Members of the IOOF Cemetery Association met Monday, August 27, 2007 in the Senior = Citizens Center in Caddo Mills, Texas<= /st1:State>. Members present were President Jim Green, Linda Hess, Rex King, Tony Gavin, Tom Jenkins, JoNell Garlington and Glenn Newman. President= Jim Green presided. Rex King open= ed the meeting with prayer.

Linda Hess read the minutes.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Tony Gavin made the motion to acce= pt the minutes as read; Rex King seconded. Motion carried. JoNell= Garlington gave the Treasurer’s Report stating a balance of $16,266.06 in the ch= ecking account as of Ju= ly 31, 2007. Linda made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report; Tom Jenkins seconded.

&nb= sp; President Green invited Sonja Canidy and Venecia Farmer to share the= ir concern. Ms. Canidy and Ms. F= armer are aware that four members of their family have been buried in the cemetery but are having difficulty finding the location. They desire to place headstones on= three of the four graves but want to make sure they are placed on the correct graves. Information was taken= by the board so that the issue can be researched.

&nb= sp; President Green read a Thank You card from JoNell Garlington for remembering our late member, Harry Garlington, with a donation to the libra= ry fund and historical society.

&nb= sp; President Green gave an update on the roads. He stated that Ralph Green will he= lp in paving the roads by late September. Tony Gavin had concern of the existing culverts. JoNell Garlington made the motion = for Jim Green to have the authority to locate a contractor and materials for removal and installation of culverts. Rex King seconded. Motion carried.&= nbsp; A meeting will be called to approve the installation plans.

&nb= sp; Linda Hess stated that the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Ladies’ Auxiliary Association of the Caddo<= /st1:PlaceName> Mills I.O.O.F. Cemetery met and we= re pleased to learn of the $25,000.00 being willed to them by Faye Nell Bush McCombs even though it arrived seven years after it was donated. The auxiliary felt that the money = had been willed to the auxiliary and should be accepted. The auxiliary determined that $10,= 019.06 be left to the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Association as this was the amount the association paid toward the completion of the gazebo which leaves a balance= of $14,980.00 to be paid to the auxiliary.&nb= sp; Due to the road project at present, the money can not be paid to the auxiliary until a C.D. comes due. Rex King stated that he would take the money from the next matured C= .D. and place in the checking account so that the money could be given to the <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">I.O.O.F. Cemetery Ladies’ Auxiliary Association.

&nb= sp; Members desired to create a document stating the Rules and Regulatio= ns for the cemetery. A list was created. A meeting will be ca= lled to adopt the document. It was suggested that each time a person buys a space or lot a copy of the Rules a= nd Regulations be given them.

&nb= sp; Tony Gavin had concern that a person, Michael J. Taylor, had been bu= ried on one of the eight spaces he had purchased. Tom Jenkins made the motion that T= ony Gavin be refunded for the space. Rex King seconded. Mot= ion carried.

&nb= sp; Tony Gavin had concern of the mowing. He stated that the weather had mad= e it impossible to keep it mowed, but he felt that more time should have been focused on manicuring the cemetery once the rains subsided as a number of mowings had been skipped due to the rains.= Jim Green and Rex King both stated that David Hollingsworth had call= ed numerous time with concern that he couldn’= t mow due to the rains. President G= reen stated that he would contact Mr. Hollingsworth in hopes of getting the ceme= tery manicured. Also, there was co= ncern of David Alford’s dirt work in the cemetery. Jim Green stated that he would con= tact Mr. Alford concerning issues.

&nb= sp; JoNell Garlington made the motion to adjourn. Rex King seconded. Motion carried.
