IOOF Cemetery= Association

Caddo Mills, Texas

&nb= sp; Members of the IOOF Cemetery Association met Monday, February 26, 2007 in = the Senior Citizens Center in Caddo Mills, Texas. Members present were President Jim Green, Linda Hess, Rex King, Glenn Newman, JoNell Garlington, Ben Bentley, = Tony Gavin, and Tom Jenkins. Presi= dent Jim Green presided. Rex King open= ed the meeting with prayer.

<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Linda Hess read the minutes.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Tony Gavin made the motion to acce= pt the minutes as read. Tom Jenkins seconded. Motion carried. Tony Gavin gave documentation to be added to the minute book. Rex= King stated that he would take notes when decisions had to be made at the cemete= ry and bring them each meeting to add to minute book to record transactions concerning cemetery lots. JoN= ell Garlington gave the treasurer’s report stating a balance of $31,761.3= 7 in the checking account as of January 31, 2007. Linda H= ess made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Rex King seconded. Motion carried. It was noted that a safety deposit= rent had come due. Rex King was requested to check the documents inside and then determine if the box neede= d to be closed.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that to date he had not received a response f= rom the executives with the pipe line but would persevere in getting them to he= lp in the upkeep of their easement.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that he has spoken to Commissioner Ralph G= reen concerning paving the roads in the cemetery. Mr. Green would be able to h= elp in paving the roads once his schedule allowed him time. President Green also stated that h= e had visited with Dixon Latham, and he would have to work with the new judge to = determine a time that he could come and work in the “little” cemetery.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that he had not been able to reach Beth Villanueva via telephone concerning her space which had been traded for ano= ther space by an unauthorized party; her husband, Danny Villanueva, had recently been buried in the cemetery. = Mr. Green stated that he would continue to try and reach her.

&nb= sp; President Green requested that Linda Hess provide more copies of the By-laws at the May meeting. H= e also requested that members study the model Rules and Regulations= so that the final list could be made at the next meeting.

&nb= sp; Tom Jenkins alerted members that green solar lights are visible at n= ight on some graves in the cemetery. He stated that they could not be seen from Hwy 6.

&nb= sp; Rex King read a letter from Elmer Cox requesting that his deed be transferred to Lenis McCasland. It was determined that a letter should be written to Mr. Cox stating that it w= ould be fine for him to transfer the deed himself if he so desired.

&nb= sp; Members again voiced concern that all documents concerning the cemet= ery have not been given to the I. O. O. F. Cemetery Board by the Rentfrow Funer= al Home. The Board requested that President Jim Green, Rex King and Jo Garlington secure all documents concer= ning the cemetery.

&nb= sp; It was also noted that balances on accounts are determined by records the Board has at present.

&nb= sp; Rex King stated that he was not able to transfer CD’s due to h= is name not being added&n= bsp; on the bank accounts. President Green requested Linda Hess provide copies of minutes so that signatures be placed on file in banks where our a= ccounts exist.

&nb= sp; JoNell Garlington made the motion to adjourn. Tom Jenkins seconded. Motion carried.
