&nb= sp; Members of the IOOF Cemetery Association met Monday, May 26, 2008 in the S= enior Citizens Center in Caddo Mills, Texas. Members present were President Jim Green, Linda Hess, Tony Gavin, Tom Jenkins, Ben Bentley, Glenn Newman and J= oNell Garlington. President J= im Green presided. Tony Gavin op= ened the meeting with prayer.

Linda Hess read the minutes.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Ben Bentley made the motion to acc= ept the minutes as read; Glenn Newman seconded. Motion carried. JoNell Garlington gave the Treasurer’s Report stating a balance of $9,228.52 in the checking acc= ount as of April 30, = 2008. Tom Jenkins made the motion to acc= ept the treasurer’s report; Tony Gavin seconded. Motion carried. Linda Hess made the motion that To= ny Gavin and Tom Jenkins serve on the Audit Committee completing the audit pri= or to the Fall Meeting. Ben Bent= ley seconded. Motion carried.

&nb= sp; JoNell Garlington made the motion that Matt McMahan serve on the Board. Tony Gavin seconded. Motion carried.

&nb= sp; Ben Bentley gave an update of plans to complete work concerning the drainage issues in the cemetery. He stated that the work should be completed within the next two weeks.

It was noted that some dirt and sand had been spread o= n some places in the cemetery; Tony Gavin stated that David with Rentfrow Funeral = Home spreads excess dirt from opened grave sites where needed.

&nb= sp; Tony Gavin stated concern of Funeral Home employees driving trucks w= ith long trailers carrying tractors to open and close graves; it is impossible = for these long trailers to turn the sharp corners on the east west roads. It was determined that Tony Gavin = would compose a letter to Funeral Home Directors advising their employees to use = only the north south roads in the cemetery when driving their vehicles with the<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> long trailers. It was also determined that Tom Je= nkins would compose the list of those needing to receive this information.

&nb= sp; Linda Hess gave an update of plans to plant trees on the outside of = the front fence.

Tom Jenkins stated that he had atte= mpted to contact representatives from the Colonas but had been unsuccessful. He stated that he would continue t= o make contact with them.
