&nb= sp; Members of the IOOF Cemetery Association met Monday, May 25, 2009 in = the Senior Citizens Center in Caddo Mills, Texas. Members present were President Tony Gavin, Jim Gr= een, Linda Hess, Tom Jenkins, Glenn Newman, JoNell Garlington and Matt McMahan. President Gavin called the me= eting to order. Jim Green gave the invocation.

Linda Hess read the minutes.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> JoNell Garlington explained that s= he had given the incorrect balance on hand in the last meeting; she stated that the correct amount was $16,689.55. Jim Green made the motion to accept the minutes with this correction. JoNell Garlington seconded. Motion carried. JoNell Garlington gave the Treasurer’s Report stating a balance of $21,405.99 in the checking ac= count as of April 10, 2009. Linda Hess made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report; Matt McMahan seconded. Motion carried. President Gavin stated that Rex Ki= ng had been working to renew a CD of $20,000.00.&= nbsp; Members discussed the procedures of purchasing lots. It was noted that George English h= ad donated some lots for ones in need. President Gavin stated concern that the amount received for perpetual care and the yearly expenses incurred did not balance. Linda Hess made the motion that President Gavin attempt to purchase ten acres to increase the size of the cemetery. Matt McMahan seconded. Motion carried. President Gavin requested that Matt McMahan assist him in this endeavor. President Gavin stated that there were still Record Problems. He explained that he makes note of= those documented that they are buried in the cemetery with an unknown location. Also, President Gavin had concern = that the fence was needing painting and provisions ha= d not been made concerning the maintenance of the fence. It was suggested that a fee be add= ed to the purchase price to insure maintenance in future sections purchased.

&nb= sp; President Gavin complimented the Crepe Murtles planted at the front = of the cemetery by the IOOF Cemetery Ladies’ Auxiliary Association.

&nb= sp; JoNell Garlington made the motion for President Gavin to do an experiment this Summer with about one fourth of = the cemetery using MSMA and continue in the Winter with Round-Up. Linda Hess seconded. Motion carried.

JoNell Garlington stated that more Board Members were needed. Linda Hess made the motion to adjo= urn; Jim Green seconded. Motion ca= rried.
