IOOF Cemetery= Association

Caddo Mills, Texas

&nb= sp; Members of the IOOF Cemetery Association met Monday, November 27, 2006 i= n the Senior Citizens Center in Caddo Mills, Texas. Members present were President Jim Green, Linda Hess, Rex King, Glenn Newman, JoNell Garlington, Tony Gavin, a= nd Tom Jenkins. President Jim Gr= een presided. Rex King opened the meeting with prayer.

<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Linda Hess read the minutes.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Jim Green corrected the minutes st= ated the tree in the “little cemetery” had been trimmed – not removed. Rex King made the mo= tion to accept the minutes with the correction.= Glenn Newman seconded. JoNell Garlington gave the treasurer’s report stating a balance of $30,062.4= 2 in the checking account as of November 22, 2006. Linda H= ess made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Tony Gavin seconded. Motion carried.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that to date he had not received a response f= rom the executives with the pipe line but would send another letter in the futu= re.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that he has spoken to Commissioner Ralph G= reen concerning paving the roads in the cemetery. President Green stated that our association would have to help with the cost of the Belly Dump and the cost= of the material at approximately $7.00 per load; he also stated that Mr. Ralph Green would use his machinery in paving the roads. Linda Hess made the motion that Jim Green take charge and get all roads paved and sealed; Tony Gavin amended the motion by adding the words “pending cost being approved by board.R= 21; Tony Gavin seconded the motion. Motion carried.

&nb= sp; Tony Gavin demonstrated his outstanding website that he has created = for our cemetery. All members were impressed and pleased with all his endeavors.

&nb= sp; Tom Jenkins had concern of lots with no evidence of ownership or documentation. JoNell Garling= ton shared a document, “Cemetery Law in Texas.” It was suggested that letter stati= ng guidelines for the cemetery be given each time a lot is sold.

&nb= sp; Linda Hess thanked everyone for their kindness and for the flowers s= ent to her husband’s funeral. She added concern of money being sent to Rentfrow Funeral Home rather than the = I. O. O. F. Cemetery Association by the Hurst Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville. President Green stated that the fee should be sent to Rentfrow Funeral Home. Tony Gavin stated that a formal agreement should be made between our association and the Rentfrow Funeral Home. Linda Hess suggested th= at Tony Gavin compose the agreement for our board to approve. Tony Gavin agreed to create the agreement.

&nb= sp; JoNell Garlington had concern of a lot in a family plot being traded= for another lot; President Green stated that he would contact the party concern= ing this issue. It appeared= that David Alfred had made this decision. It was agreed that Mr. Alfred be advised that he is not to sell any lots as he has no authority; a= ll lots must be sold by a member of the

&nb= sp; Rex King made the motion for JoNell Garlington to purchase a typewri= ter for our association not to exceed $160.00.= Tom Jenkins seconded. = Motion carried.

&nb= sp; Linda Hess made the motion to adjourn. Tony Gavin seconded. Motion carried.
