IOOF Cemetery= Association

Caddo Mills, Texas

&nb= sp; Members of the IOOF Cemetery Association met Monday, November 26, 2007 in= the Senior Citizens Center in Caddo Mills, Texas. Members present were President Jim Green, Linda Hess, Rex King, Tony Gavin, Tom Jenkins and JoNell Garlington.= President Jim Green presided.= Tony Gavin opened the meeting with prayer.

Linda Hess read the August mi= nutes. Rex King made the motion to accept= the minutes as read; Tony Gavin seconded. Motion carried. Linda = Hess read the minutes for the Special Called Meeting in September. Tony Gavin made the motion to acce= pt the minutes as read; Tom Jenkins seconded.&nbs= p; Motion carried. JoNell Garlington gave the Treasurer’s Report stating a balance of $17,231.2= 0 in the checking account as of October 31, 2007. Rex Kin= g made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report; Tom Jenkins seconded.

&nb= sp; Danny Ayers addressed the board with concern over four spaces that h= ad been purchased in earlier years but had not made full payment. He brought receipts to show paymen= t of $600.00. It was determined th= at 2 spaces would be paid using the previous price of $250.00 per space; the oth= er 2 spaces would be priced at the present price of $500.00 for each space leavi= ng a balance of $900.00.

Tom Jenkins stated that his wife, L= ynn, would be glad to list all lots paid in full or being paid out on an Excel spread sheet so that the information would be easily attainable. Using the spread sheet, it would m= ake it easy to see if a space became available if one did not pay for the space/sp= aces in the allotted time of two years. He had concerns that a tombstone had been placed on a grave that had= not been paid in full.

&nb= sp; Rex King stated that the CD had matured so that the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Ladies Auxiliary could be paid $14,980.00 which was the difference in the $25,000.00 willed to the = I.O.O.F. Cemetery Ladies Aux= iliary by Faye Nell Bush McCombs and the amount paid by the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Association for the completion of the Tabernacle/Gazebo. Rex King made the motion to pay in= full $14,980.00 to the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Ladies Auxiliary Association; Tony Gavin seconded. Motion carried.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that Ralph Green had started the road work. It seems that it will take about t= hree weeks as the Belly Dumpers owned by Little’s are only available on Mondays.=

&nb= sp; President Green voiced concern about a metal frame and steel posts in the cemetery. Tony Gavin stat= ed that he would remove them; Jim Green stated that he would be glad to help in this endeavor.

&nb= sp; Tony Gavin stated that the research had been completed and the four graves of the Bailey Family had been located requested by Sonja Canidy and Venecia Farmer. A Thank You n= ote was received from Sonja Canidy.

&nb= sp; President Green stated that Roy and Linda McWhorter desired to sell = two lots which they had paid $300.00 leaving a balance of $200.00. JonNell Garlington made the motion= to accept the offer and make the purchase.&nb= sp; Tom Jenkins seconded. = Motion carried. President Green stat= ed that he would contact the McWhorter and request a receipt and deed if available.

&nb= sp; Tom Jenkins had concerns over dirt work. President Green stated that he wou= ld address the issue.

JoNell Garlington gave the Tax Exem= pt Number of 75 149 455 8.
